When I had my first class with art teacher EE Puls in 1977, my life-long passion with art began. In the early 80’s, I began to pursue music and along the way I started a family.
In the late 90’s, I rediscovered my love of visual art. I began with acrylic & watercolor under friend Annette LaRue’s direction, owner of Electric Ladyland in New Orleans, LA.
Around 2003-4 I started working with oils. My art output exploded when I hooked up with Kim Howes-Zabbia & her school, The ArtStation, in Ponchatoula, LA.
My work is energetic so I prefer to work with oils on different types of wooden surfaces.
I paint representational paintings. It is stylistic, figurative painting in abstract settings, usually with text.
I am very prolific, because I paint 8-10 hours a day, almost always producing a work a day, sometimes more.
